Competition and Tournament Ready Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Some students who excel and understand Brazilian Jiu Jitsu reach a point where they are confident with their technique and training and they want to compete. Competing is a great way to test your skills, meet new people and see how far you have come and how far you can go.
Technique, Grappling and Ground Fighting at Competition Level
To compete at a tournament level, you must be in competitive shape. We help to push your limits and get you fight-ready through drilling during training sessions. We focus on technique—grappling, ground fighting, taking an opponent to the ground—and train you to perfect holds, chokes, arm bars and other submission tactics. You may also want to try doing private lessons with our instructors to really test and hone your skills.
We have some students that train for six months to a year and are ready to compete, whereas others may take much longer to perfect their moves for competition. In order to compete, you have to understand the basic techniques, improve your stamina and fully develop the basic skills.
Competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a rewarding experience for beginners and experienced practitioners. As part of the BJJ community, students that want to compete are always welcome. The instructors at Centreville Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will be honored to help you gain entrance for competition.
